Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Domain 360.

Is Domain 360 really free?

Yes. The Starter plan is free forever — no time limit, no credit card required. You get up to 15 domains, the full dashboard, expiry reminders, and the WHOIS lookup tool. Paid plans unlock more domains.

Do I need to transfer my domains to use Domain 360?

No. Your domains stay exactly where they are. Domain 360 tracks expiry dates using public WHOIS records — no registrar access, no API keys, no transfers required.

What if my registrar already sends renewal reminders?

Registrar reminder emails go to the email address from when you registered — often years ago — and get filtered as promotional mail. Domain 360 sends reminders to the email you choose today, on a schedule you control.

Can I track domains for my clients without their registrar login?

Yes. Domain 360 pulls expiry dates from public WHOIS records, so you can track any domain without needing access to the registrar account it is registered at.

Does the WHOIS tool require an account?

No. The WHOIS lookup is completely free with no signup required. Look up any domain registration details, check DNS records, and verify availability without logging in.

How is Domain 360 different from a spreadsheet?

A spreadsheet shows what you typed. Domain 360 shows the live WHOIS expiry date for every domain, updated automatically, with a real-time countdown. Spreadsheets do not send reminders or verify dates.

What happens when a domain is about to expire?

Domain 360 sends email reminders at 90, 60, 30, 14, 7, and 3 days before expiry. The dashboard shows the domain in amber or red depending on urgency. You renew at your registrar — Domain 360 keeps your credentials private.

Which registrars does Domain 360 support?

All of them. Domain 360 uses public WHOIS data, not registrar integrations, so it works with GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Hostinger, Porkbun, Google Domains, PKNIC, and any accredited registrar worldwide.

How much does Domain 360 cost?

Starter is free forever for up to 15 domains. Pro is $4.99/month for up to 50 domains, email reminders, push notifications, and client tagging. Agency is $15.99/month for unlimited domains, 5 team seats, and a client portal. See the full breakdown on the pricing page.

Can I import my existing domains from a spreadsheet?

Yes. The dashboard accepts a CSV import with columns for domain, type, registrar, status, dates, email, and notes — only the domain name is required. See our CSV import guide for the exact format and common formatting mistakes to avoid.

Can I export my domain list?

Yes. Every plan, including the free Starter plan, includes one-click CSV export of your full domain list from the dashboard — useful for backups, spreadsheets, or handing a client their own record.

Does Domain 360 send push notifications, and how do I turn them on?

Pro and Agency plans support browser push notifications for domain expiry alerts, in addition to email reminders. Enable them from the Notifications settings in your dashboard — your browser will ask for permission the first time.

What is the DNS Lookup tool for?

It queries live DNS and shows every A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, and SOA record currently published for a domain — useful for diagnosing email delivery issues, verifying a migration, or checking a domain before you buy it.

What is the Subdomain Finder and why does it matter?

It scans public certificate transparency logs and DNS records to surface every discoverable subdomain for a domain, including old or forgotten ones. Forgotten subdomains are a common, overlooked security risk — see our subdomain strategy guide for more on managing them.

What does the SSL Certificate Checker do?

It checks a domain's current SSL/TLS certificate — issuer, expiry date, and validity — so you can catch a certificate about to lapse before it takes a site offline with browser warnings.

What is the Email Domain Intelligence tool for?

It inspects a domain's email authentication setup — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records — to help you verify that a domain is configured to send email reliably and is not vulnerable to spoofing.

Can I use Domain 360 on my phone?

Yes. The dashboard, WHOIS lookup, and all tool pages are fully responsive and work in any mobile browser. There is no dedicated native app; Domain 360 runs as a web app on any device.

Do you ever ask for my registrar password?

No, never. Domain 360 only needs the domain names themselves and reads expiry data from public WHOIS records. If anything ever asks you for a registrar password on this site, it is not a legitimate part of Domain 360 — contact us immediately.

What happens to my domains if I cancel a paid plan?

You revert to the free Starter plan and keep access to your first 15 domains, ordered by when you added them. Domains beyond that limit remain in our records but become read-only until you either upgrade again or remove domains to get back under 15.

How do I delete my account and data?

Contact us and we will delete your account and associated domain data. We do not currently offer self-serve account deletion from the dashboard. See our privacy policy for the full data retention and deletion policy.

Is Domain 360 affiliated with GoDaddy, Namecheap, or any registrar?

No. Domain 360 is an independent domain management tool. We are not owned by, partnered with, or compensated by any domain registrar, which is why our registrar comparisons and profiles are written without a conflict of interest.

Can my team share access to the same domains?

Yes, on the Agency plan. It includes 5 team seats and a client portal so your team and clients can view domain status without sharing a single login or registrar credentials.

What is the Community section for?

It is a public discussion board for asking domain-related questions, reporting bugs, and sharing tips with other Domain 360 users — organized by category, including a dedicated bug report tag our team monitors.

How accurate is the WHOIS data shown?

Domain 360's WHOIS lookup queries the same public registry data your registrar uses, retrieved live at the time of your search rather than cached. Some registries and privacy-protected domains redact certain fields by design — see how to find who owns a domain for what to do when that happens.

Does WHOIS privacy protection affect what Domain 360 can track?

No. Expiry date and registrar are almost always visible even on WHOIS-privacy-protected domains, which is all Domain 360 needs to track renewals. Only contact details are typically hidden, and Domain 360 never needs those.

How do I contact support?

Use the contact page for any question, billing issue, or account request. Paid plans include priority support with faster response times.

What happens if I add a domain that has already expired?

Domain 360 pulls the actual status from WHOIS and shows it as expired immediately, colour-coded red on your dashboard, rather than waiting for a countdown to reach zero. This is useful for auditing a portfolio you have inherited or have not checked in a while.
