Why email authentication matters
Email deliverability and security both depend on a small set of DNS-based standards. This tool checks whether a domain has mail servers configured and whether it has published the authentication records — SPF, DKIM, and DMARC — that determine whether legitimate email actually reaches the inbox and whether spoofed email claiming to be from the domain gets blocked.
What the results mean

Mail server (MX) check
Confirms whether the domain has mail servers configured at all — the baseline requirement for receiving any email.

SPF (Sender Policy Framework)
Lists which servers are authorized to send email on behalf of the domain. Missing SPF makes it easier for someone to spoof your domain in phishing emails.

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail)
A cryptographic signature added to outgoing mail that lets receiving servers verify the message was not altered in transit and genuinely came from your domain.

DMARC
The policy that tells receiving mail servers what to do with messages that fail SPF or DKIM checks — reject, quarantine, or allow. Domains without DMARC are more attractive targets for email spoofing.
